Wouldn’t it be nice if creation was real? If one could make something out of nothing then no one in the world will be going hungry. I would love to poof up some food whenever I needed it. Or for that matter wouldn’t it be great if food just rained down from the sky like it did before anyone could question that fact? The bible tells a story of Manna raining down from Heaven when the Jews escaped Egypt. No one ever explains what Manna is or where it came from but in the Bible the passage from Exodus CH. 16 Ver. 4 reads, Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will vain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or no. Also in Ch. 16 ver. 14 reads, And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. If God was so willing to help people back when Moses was alive why won’t he help people starving today? He gave them food while 13% of the world’s population today is going hungry. That’s an estimated 925 million people going hungry. What makes the escaping Jews any better than the hungry families of today? Is your God being choosy or is this the “free-will” that all you believers talk about? How can he just decide now not to help people in need? What kind of a conscience does God have? These are real world problems that all you religious people just seem to overlook when you thank God for what He has given you. What about those who don’t have? Who can they thank for that? It’s not that child in Africa’s choice to watch his father get carried away by a hungry lioness in the middle of the night because he doesn’t have a decent dwelling to sleep in at night. Your “free-will” logic is slapped by such a fact.

About “free-will” real quick before I get to take care of 80 year old infants, I work in a Catholic run nursing home. The unit I work in is the Dementia unit. Guess what? Most of those people were avid church goers when they could still remember what time of year it was. They carry rosaries on a minute to minute basis and the ones who can still talk still pray their cult-like prayers because that’s all they can remember. I guess those people are over-looked by the great and merciful God that people love. If they spent every morning in a mass and praying to God why did he give these people the disease that takes what he made most important, the mind, the ability to make a choice? The people I take care of no longer can choose what to wear, eat, a bed time, what time to get up, if they want a shower or not, or even remember a family they’ve had for a lifetime. Was that a “free-will” choice for them? I am sure each one of them said growing up that “I choose to get a disease that takes my ability to think for myself and have other people take care of me.” Don’t think so. So that said is your God merciful to those loyal to him or does he just have a sick sense of humor?
